Chocolate covered strawberries may seem like the simplest recipe, but if you try making them blindsightedly, you’ll soon realize that there is more than meets the eye to this dessert.

Just this past week, my cousin called for tips on making them and I was delighted to share my knowledge of chocolate melting and dipping with her.

If you follow these simple guidelines on making the perfect batch of chocolate covered strawberries, you’ll be sure to impress all your friends and family at your next gathering.

Ingredients:
Chocolate chips
Strawberries
Vegetable oil

Directions:
Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. Rinse strawberries and gently pat with a paper towel to dry. Set aside.

Fill a bowl with 2 cups chocolate chips. Add 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil. Place in microwave on defrost setting for one minute intervals, stirring occasionally until melted.

Dip strawberries. Place on waxed paper and allow to cool in fridge. Once hardened, remove strawberries from waxed paper and consume.
